About me
University of Stirling graduate with a special interest in Java development and object-oriented design principles. Looking for freelance or full time positions locally or nationally.
What I do
From project planning to documenting, website design and construction, database work and data science projects – I have experience across a wide variety of disciplines, but mainly focus on software development with Java.
Software
Mainly working with Java, I've undertaken a variety of projects both through university and personally. I've also worked on projects using a variety of other languages, such as Python, C#, C++ and Lua.
Web
I have designed and built a handful of websites from the ground up. I use mostly Bootstrap components for frontend (with some hand-written CSS + HTML), and PHP or Javascript for serverside development. I have limited experience using things like WordPress for web construction.
Databases
Having completed Oracle certifications in database design and development, I am very familiar with SQL (primarily MySQL and Oracle SQL) and to a lesser extent NoSQL (MongoDB).
